If you're wearing your glasses you can see the small print that explains how to make these bark candles. Buy some bark from your local florist, I also saw some on ebay, and use spray adhesive to attach it to your bargain candles.
*disclaimer: My Mom had a birch candle from somewhere like Pottery Barn, and when it got too low the birch caught on fire. Thank God for smoke detectors! So if you make these for your Thanksgiving table and burn them multiple times make sure you peel the birch down.

I saw someone yesterday loading big fuzzy branches that looked a lot like Elk Antlers. I thought maybe they were using it for a wedding table.
whata great idea for candles. the bark gives them such a cozy/fancy feel all at the same time.
The birch candles are absolutely beautiful-and you're right, they're perfect for Thanksgiving, as long as they don't catch fire!
this is such a cute table! And that's good to know about those candles!
I love the rustic charm too. birch candles are beautiful. candles are always a good idea!
