tuxedo t-shirt done right

I love this Bride's cowboy boots and hand tied wild flower bouquet.

But even more I love her dog in a tuxedo t-shirt.  He sure knows how to rock it!

amanda archer collection

Ever since I saw these made to order to dresses by Amanda Archer on Etsy I've wanted to order one.  Maybe because they remind me of my favorite JCrew dresses, and they come in every color imaginable so she won't suddenly take your favorite color out of the mix come Spring when you're ready to order for your bridesmaids.  I'm not bitter.

Not to mention pockets!  How we ever lived without pockets in dresses I'll never know.

Look at the fabulous colors.  I want one of each!

dessert table trays

Check out these great DIY trays for dressing up your dessert table.  A little spray paint and pretty paper transforms a few thrift store frames.  I'm definitely going to make some for my next party!

family tree guestbook

Aren't these guestbooks made of your friends and family's finger prints awesome?  Sketch your own trunk or find an artist on Etsy to do it for you.

candle lit placecards

I think these votive placecards wrapped in vellum paper would be beautiful for a night time reception.  The more candle light the better right?  There is a whole thread on LI Weddings on how make them.

custom subway sign

You're thinking about sandwiches aren't you?  ;)

Vintage subway signs are all over the place these days, but I still love them.  I haven't seen any Seattle or Washington ones so I have yet to spring for one, plus we don't even have a subway.

I do like this custom subway sign from Etsy shop Signs of Vintage.  You can personalize it with anything you like.

Special memories, places, dates. Display it in your living room and guarantee that neither of you ever forget that special date.

Like when THIS happened.

Check out the rest of the shop for more great wedding signs.

crepe cake

Ever since I saw this cake around the blogosphere, I've been in love.  For my 50th wedding anniversary, I want one.

If you read my other blog, you know my love for all things crepes and more importantly, Nutella.  For my birthday this year I had plans to create a simple crepe cake, filled with Nutella of course.

Naturally I was tired after a few crepes.  Not to mention I was making gluten free coconut flour crepes for the first time and they were a challenge (but delicious!).  Luckily Lady M Confections can ship their cake anywhere in the world.  I hope they still will in another 47.5 years!

outdoor wedding chapel

Photobucket

A friend of mine from High School, Grace, was married last month.  Her Husband built an amazing outdoor chapel for the ceremony, and when I saw the photos on Facebook I couldn't wait to show them to you.  Luckily Grace has a blog where she shared some photos and the process and said I could link back.  Check out her blog, Oh Gracie Pie, for more photos and a cute background story on just how she collected so many windows.

Congratulations Gracie and Steve!

an apple a day

There are tons of Fall wedding favors out there right now.  If I was guaranteed a crisp sunny day in the Pacific Northwest I would have had a Fall wedding in a heartbeat.  Especially since my Husband wanted to come down the aisle in tractor...and he wanted to come down after me.  I might have gone for that ;)

If we had, I most definitely would have had caramel apples.  What about this cute burlap bag of apples with Grandma's apple pie recipe?

Dress up a jar of Trader Joe's Apple Butter
or even Pumpkin Butter

If you're lazy like me, just draw straight on the jar.  I love this idea!

Love these apple table decorations

Can you tell I'm a green apple fan?

bridesmaid dresses for under $100

The other day I was perusing ModCloth and noticed how many cute bridesmaid appropriate dresses they had for under $100.  Score!

When my Husband and I got engaged I had my heart set on these deep raspberry colored dresses from JCrew.  Of course it was their summer collection and I hadn't asked anyone to be a bridesmaid until the winter.  What happened to my raspberry dresses?  Gone, and on to the winter collection.  By the time I was ready to purchase, flamingo pink was as close as I could get.

The moral of the story is.  If you're getting married in the Fall and you want to find dresses off the rack in those rich Fall colors...you should be looking right now.  Not in March when the Spring colors are in full bloom.

Check these out.  I'm in love with more than one of them...

What do you think?  Could you picture your ladies in any of these dresses?
Maybe just pick one for yourself.  You're going to need something to wear to that rehearsal dinner!
