baby shower invites and a giveaway!

I'm working on baby shower invitations for my new niece who will be here in May.  I tried out the Martha Stewart tutorial I posted here.  It really was the easiest invitation I've ever done and I love the way they turned out!  That Martha is a genius.

I purchased 8.5 x 11 polka dot paper from Michaels and printed the info on the plain side.

Then I folded the paper according to the directions and secured with a label.  The labels were made by cutting 8.5 x 11 sticky labels into strips with schmancy scissors.  Peel the backing off and wrap half of label to secure fold on the front, and half on the back for your return address.

Voila!

In other exciting news, I've reached 100 followers!  Thanks Megan ;)  It seems customary to do a giveaway and boy do I love customs.  To show my appreciation for all my readers, I'm giving away a year subscription to my American idol...or maybe she's Swedish.  I'm unsure.

A 1 year subscription to the Martha Stewart publication of your choice!

In case you need more clarification in the God that she is...
This has been my favorite Eastside Bride Post to date.  So true.

Do you love her too?  If not you can gift to your Mom.

Here are the rules:

1.  Leave me a comment telling me your publication of choice and favorite thing Miss Martha has contributed to this beautiful world (example:  tissue paper poofs!)
2.  You must be a follower to enter.

Extra enteries:

1. Blog the giveaway
2. Tweet the giveaway
3. Facebook the giveaway

Entries accepted until Sunday, March 20th at 8:00pm.  Winner will be announced Monday the 21st!

These are adorable! I'm really loving the wraparound address label. I've been looking for an excuse to use them.

Congrats on 100 followers! I love MS Living and I would have to say the fabric flowers and/or tissue puffs are my fave (both from MS Weddings and both used in my wedding).

my sister just found out that she's preggo, so i might have to steal the invite idea when it's time for me to send them out!

i would choose MS Weddings (not for myself (yet) but since i help plan a lot of them) and my favorite martha contribution would have to be her cake decorating ideas. well and her food in general. obv.

Well done on the invites - they look darling! I would choose Martha Living. AND, I love the wedding cake sugar cookies she created - they were inspiration for my wedding favors!

This is a great idea for a giveaway! I love everything she does but my current favorite is painting the top rims of pots with chalkboard paint so you can chalk the names of the plants!

I love living but I already have a practically lifelong subscription so I might have to go with weddings if I win!

The invitations look great, your party is sure to be a hit!

Whoo! I'm a follower and I would choose Martha Stewart Living of course! (Weddings was a close second). You stole my favorite Martha contribution, the poufs, but I also love thinking of how she taught me to fold fitted sheets...not that I actually do all the steps.

What a wonderful invitation, and an adorable giveaway! I'm partial to Martha Stewart Weddings, but I don't know what I'd do without her scoring board and bone folder on an everyday basis!

To my horror I realized I was not yet a follower of this blog! I have rectified that now, don't worry. So I love Martha Stewart Living the best and don't even get me started on those tissue paper flowers. Especially the one that looks like a candy corn. I LOVE Martha, in case you couldn't tell from the million ideas that I poach on my blog every day.

I think that I would chose Martha food. Even though I kinda wanna choose the wedding one, but I guess that doesn't make sense since my wedding is over. Haha. I'm a follower! DUH! The 100th! : )

How fun, another giveaway. You are on a roll and this follower is happy! MS Weddings has to be my favorite. Since you took the amazing poofs, how cute are these for a spring wedding? Love the idea of confetti programs on a warm spring day! Have a great weekend Nikki.

Clearly I'm a giveaway whore (ha). Excellent work with the invitation! It looks amazing :-)

Martha has been a part of my life since I was a little girl -- I have fond memories of flipping through the Living magazine and watching her show with my grandmother. So, in addition to Martha's contributions of Good Things, decorating products (used her awesome peridot glitter for my wedding shoes!), amazing recipes, and screw-you-world attitude, Martha definitely gave my grandmother and me daily ideas and inspiration...and of course, cherished moments together.

...sorry for the ramble! ha -- I'd definitely choose Whole Living. I was reading it over while at my esthetician's this week and fell in love!
