Although I prefer coconut macaroons to macarons, I do think macarons are beautiful and hard to ignore. Especially those colorful macaron trees. Amy Atlas says you MUST have them flanking your cake or candy bar. No really, she did ;)
Ingredients
24 ounce white chocolate bar
9 inch Styrofoam cone
Aluminum foil
3 10-ounce packages of macarons
Melt white chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave. Wrap Styrofoam cone with aluminum foil. Place on foiled cookie sheet and begin adhering macarons to the cone. Place in fridge to set. Display on a pretty cake stand at your next event!

ReplyDeletethanks for spelling it right! it aggravates me so. and i like macaroons better too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one tasty looking cake, but in all honesty if I were ever to make a Macaron tree like this, I don't think the cookies would last long enough to make it to the cake -- they'd probably get munched :)
