baby ava's shower

This weekend my Mom and I threw a baby shower for my Sister.  Remember these invitations?  This baby craves ice cream and chocolate so we went with ice cream sundaes and ice cream floats.  Baby was happy.  I was happy too...and a little hyper from all the sugar.

The spread.  I covered their wedding photo with tissue paper, too bad you can't iron tissue paper!

There were babies.  After all, it was a baby shower.

Baby Logan

Baby Ben

Sandwiches and fruit cups

We decorated onesies with fabric and fabric glue.  I'll go back and sew around everyone's...someday ;)
When I washed all 15 of the onesies my Husband opened the dryer and said "Did Jon and Kate plus 8 move in?

Happy crafters.
Those are the "we're not playing games at this shower" smiles ;)

Most creative onesie award goes to Bobbie!

Ben was all smiles, so long as Mommy was holding him!

My Mom, Moi, my Sister
You can tell we're related by the position of our hands.

Ice cream floats!

Salted caramel sauce favors

Sweet baby Logan finally finds his Mama
Award for most creative gift goes to Cammy...for the jaguar rug!

So many photo ops with a gift like this!

I love it all! The doily garland. The lavendar tissue paper (and I think the folds make it look artsy) covering the wedding photo, the crafts, the favors. NICE JOB! I may need to feature you on my blog. Again. You go, girl.

Are the fruit cups hollowed out oranges?

Adorable! So Ava was the winning name - very sweet. Is it wrong to want a baby shower without the baby? I think they call that a bridal shower. I have been engaged too long and am becoming delirious - I will take any shower evidently. :)

PS - LOVE those cones with flowers. So original.

Happy Tuesday.

You throw such a perfect party! I love the idea of decorating white onesies. I can't believe your sister has already chosen a name...I would not commit to anything until Eli was acutally born.

What a beautiful shower....love the craft project. You can iron tissue paper.....very low heat and no steam; press several sheets at once.
