behold bhldn

Good morning!  Today's post is brought to you by Jaime of 27 and 1 Dresses and La vie...J'aime.  She is pretty much a rockstar bridesmaid so If you're looking for one...you may want to ask her first ;)  Thanks Jaime!

I am been a huge fan of Anthropologie for years, shopping their clothing, accessories, and home décor since I was a teenager. Despite being a chain retail store with hundreds of locations throughout the country, when you walk into any Anthro, you feel like you are stepping into a boutique, with unique finds and a special atmosphere. I can peruse one store, then drive to another and discover something different.

It’s no surprise then that I love Anthropologie’s new wedding-devoted website BHLDN. The same boutique-like quality and one-of-a-kind shopping experience is found on this site. Whether you are a bride, bridesmaid, wedding planner, wedding guest, or someone looking for inspiration, there is something for anyone and everyone in this store for wedded bliss. Here are some current favorites of mine at BHLDN.

Revenant Dress by Anna Sui ~ beautiful texture & shape

Frolicking Feathers Skirt~ gives real meaning to “shake your tail feather” on the dance floor

Sovereign Collar~ both regal & ethereal

Sun-glinted Peep-toes by Bibi Lou~ the perfect something blue

Indigo Mist Dress by James Coviello~ so very Florence Welch

XO Studs by Giles & Brother~ cute & whimsical

Glittered Notion Banner by Wendy Addison~ so everyone knows who you are ;)

Blooming Maid of Honor Card by Rifle Paper Co.~ who wouldn’t want to receive this card?

Chalkboard Vase ~ cute and trendy way to label tables

Have you been to BHLDN.com before? Have you purchased anything?

english breakfast take away

Today's post is by lovely Lena of La Petite Coquin.  Her blog is so classy and full of amazing weddings and ideas.  Each Friday she posts a mouth watering cocktail recipe that makes me want to call it a day and head to the liqour store ;)  If you love a good cocktail, check out her posts on how to stock your bar.  I printed it for future reference...(part 1,2,3,4) Thanks Lena!

Be sure to stop by La Petite Coquin and say hello!

Each new season is heralded, for me at least, by the arrival of Martha Stewart Weddings. There's nothing more delicious than a spring weddings as winter seems to drag on, or the crisp fall flavors featured even if the warm weather of summer continues. The latest fall issue has hit newsstands and I've read it cover to cover more times than I'd like to admit to, but one image I kept coming back to were these darling favors–tiny scones packaged with clotted cream and orange-bergamot marmalade in the most charming little containers. Don't you wish you got a pastry-chef sister-in-law when you tied the knot?

toblerone invitations

This Toblerone invitation blew me away, it is so clever I can't stand it!  I love Toblerone and used to bring it back from Switzerland for friends (before it was available in the states).  Once I brought one back and one of them said "what are those little white flecks in the chocolate?"  I told her it was nougat and she replied "I thought that's what you did when you put something in the microwave".  Uh no dear, that is 'nuke it' ;)

I'm taking a few weeks off for a long awaited European vacation!  I hate to go (no really...;), but I'll have a little sprinkling of guest posts for you so long as blogger cooperates.  Hope to see you when I return!

tea towel save the dates

These Save the Date tea towels that The Wedding Chicks have been advertising are adorable.  I love functional invites and I think this one takes the cake!

If your design isn't too complicated like the photo below, I think you could DIY.  You can buy these cute dish towels at Ikea for $.79 each, make a stencil with your names and dates and fill in using fabric markers.  Perfect for a shower or gift too!

chilled wine centerpiece

Who needs flowers?  I think this table with a built in cooler is perfect for an outdoor reception.  Fill it with chilled whites and prosecco.  You could even freeze some flowers in a few ice cubes and toss them in for the  perfect conversation piece.  What else could you put in there?

Can you tell I'm hanging on to Summer with all I've got?

lawn games

I'm a big fan of interactive activities at weddings and if you're having an outdoor wedding lawn games are always a fun idea.  Forget croquet and bocce ball though, how about a diy Twister board?  Awesome right?  Just make sure Grandma doesn't break her hip.

No one will ever forget this, I promise.

mason jar lanterns

These mason jar lanterns remind me of a field of fairies.  They are simple to make (tissue paper and glue) and would look so beautiful for an evening ceremony or reception.

If you love the colorful glow, but don't want to mess with candles and tissue paper.  Buy a box of glowsticks, cut off one end and pour it into the jar.  Seal with a lid and shake to coat the inside.  Voila!  Instant lantern.

You can find glowsticks here, but make sure to test out their glow time
so you don't end up dancing in the dark!

fruit pops and prosecco

It may be September but I'm not ready to stop celebrating Summer!  The good weather just got here in the Pacific Northwest, and I'm not even tan yet.  While you're talking about sweaters, boots and mugs of hot cocoa (actually that kinda sounds good...), I'm still talking about popsicles and prosecco.  You heard me...fruit bars and prosecco!

Someone please introduce me to the person who thought this up because I want to give them a big kiss.

I think the directions are self explanatory...right?
