This though, is beautiful and Father friendly. You can leave it at the alter or bring it all the way down the aisle. So many color options it would be hard to choose! Crepe paper would be the most affordable option, but you could use strips of fabric for a little durability.

crepe paper altar and aisle runner
It seems like all the altar ideas I come up with involve hanging things from the ceiling, which isn't always an option. Plus who wants to risk the Father of the Bride's life by throwing him on a ladder the morning of the wedding? Not me.
This though, is beautiful and Father friendly. You can leave it at the alter or bring it all the way down the aisle. So many color options it would be hard to choose! Crepe paper would be the most affordable option, but you could use strips of fabric for a little durability.

Oh wow I love that. It's simple, yet perfect. And the yellow is perfection.
That looks really pretty! I would probably end up tearing it up when walking on it, but it's definitely beautiful!
Sorry Nikki, but that's not an Altar.
The idea is, probably, nice for more informal weddings but I'm wondering how they'll manage to walk over egg shells?? - the principle is the same, in order not to disturb the stripes.
I wouldn't want to be bothered worrying so much heading for something that important.
And a short dress in the bride is mandatory. :)
Quite lovely! I'd definitely have to go the fabric route for durability.
I'm pretty sure I'd trip.
Very pretty & unique!
that is such a sweet idea. i love using the crepe paper and you don't need to put flowers down or anything, it is clear where the ceremony will take place. so sweet
This is utterly adorable! I love the colors too!
I love the pop of yellow. It would definitely brighten up the room!
