When people talk about wedding favors I tend to cringe because I think they're a big fat waste of money. Unless they are food favors, then I'm totally on board ;) I know that not everyone has the time to bake, can jam and individually wrap and tag those favors and would rather just purchase something. The other night I found a few I actually thought were pretty cute. Of course I'd take the time to re-label them. I can't help it, I'm picky.
All from
WeddingFavors.org and under $2!
Chalkboard votives...you could make your own too..
I know I know, I forgot we were buying
Fortunes? Placecards?
Say cheese!
These are sweet little votive cages, and guests could take them home!
How do you feel about favors? Do you even take them home anymore?

If I know it's a favor I will take it, but something like those cages, I would think are decorative center pieces and would not just take. One of the last weddings I went to gave away coasters, but I left mine there on accident. I like them, but I don't expect them.
I'm like you, I prefer something edible. :)
I'm with you and Jamie–edible always seems like the smartest path. I almost always leave things like CDs (too many musicians)!
Cheese boards? Those are freaking awesome.
I always tell my clients to skip favors, donate to charity or choose food/treats. It's just too hard to find something every single wedding guest will enjoy & use. I'm a huge fan of yummy treats favors!!!
We failed and forgot to tell people to take home the mason jar mugs we had intended as wedding favors...oops. So we ended up with a ton extra, which we gave to our family and also sold to some friends for their wedding. I happen to think that a drinking glass is a very useful wedding favor :-)
Love the votive idea! I would make em.
Im with you that they are pretty silly. We just didnt chocolates! That little cheese board is pretty cute though.
That cheese board is so adorable!
I just visited that side last week, they have so many cute things! I am trying to come up with baby shower favors, and OMG I am lost here. I could probably skip them entirely since baby showers are a new thing here and the guests won't be expecting them, especially since there won't be big gifts and all that, but the neurotic in me just wants to do things right. While on a budget. In Switzerland, which is practically the boonies where the ability to order cool stuff online is concerned.
How cute are those cages though? I might order some anyway. For myself.
